Yes Girls Create, Inc is completing it's 5th season and is excited to celebrate this momentous occasion with our 1st inaugural Fundraiser Gala. She Rises is a call for all us to see who we are and rise to our callings in this world!

We are thankful for all who helped us make it to this landmark and hope to continue o work together to impact youth across the city. All funds raised will go towards our Yes Girls Create 2023-2024 programming, including our monthly YGC workshops, our annual retreat, youth scholarships, our new mentoring and young men's programming, staffing, and other operational costs. We will need the help of our generous sponsors, donors, and attendees of this special event to help us reach our fundraising goal of $250,000!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: ANDREA DALZELL, THE SEATED NURSE

Survivor, Registered Nurse, Disability Rights Advocate and speaker on a mission to helping people live healthier lives.

Andrea Dalzell is a phenomenal and passionate Registered Nurse, a highly active Healthcare Advocate, Disability Rights Influencer, and most importantly, a strong Survivor! Andrea Dalzell was born and raised in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn, New York. At the early age of five, Andrea was diagnosed with transverse myelitis, an inflammation of the spinal cord that causes pain, muscle weakness and paralysis and was using a wheelchair full-time by age 12. Although this diagnosis was very critical, Andrea let absolutely nothing get in the way of being all that she could be.

YOUTH KEYNOTE SPEAKER: DJ ANNIE RED

An inspirational kid rapper and anti-bullying ambassador

Samirah Horton a.k.a DJ Annie Red is an 14 year old DJ, Rapper, Author, Motivational Speaker and Anti-Bullying Activist from Brooklyn New York. She is also a musician, pianist and songwriter. Her music can be found on SoundCloud and YouTube. Her songs are: DaBoss, No You Won't Bully Me, Bully Jersey Club Remix, and Give Me a Clean Heart. She has been performing and rapping since she was 6. "Music is where everything started,” DJ Annie Red says, “I can express myself.”

The rising hip-hop star uses music to talk about bullying. “I was bullied a lot,” she says. “I still am bullied now, especially because of my voice.” DJ Annie Red has a deep voice. She says people have told her she sounds like a boy. But she rises above their insults. DJ Annie Red doesn’t think of her voice as a weakness. She uses it to spread a message far and wide. She encourages kids of all ages, everywhere, to stand up to bullying. “You’re never too young to make a change,” she says.
