In 2018, Therese Myers founded Yes Girls Create (YGC) as a healing and loving space that she knew all young women needed.   It is a space meant to sparking innovation, develop lasting friendships, nurture leaders.  

As both a woman and a mother of three daughters, she understood the importance of encouraging our girls to tap into their greatness and provide them with tangible tools to accomplish their wildest dreams. Data showed that mentorship was at the heart of successful outcomes and that lives could be changed if a child had just one trusted adult in their lives.  The burning desire to connect with every little girl, hear their dreams, see the sparkle in their eyes began to drive her to create something her community needed. 

As she began to speak to other women about sharing the stories and gifts with the girls, she had a bigger epiphany. So many of the women had powerful stories' and could see themselves as the children that they wished to support. As she began to connect with each woman, she recognized that the transformation of living in greatness was a two way street between the adults and youth. Both would teach and both would learn. YGC was purposed to transform little girls lives as much as it was called to it was called to change the lives of our adult mentors, volunteers, and leaders.

Since its birth, YGC has created a powerful community of Dreamers and Doers. In addition to our membership and monthly programing, YGC has have brought our program to other non profit organizations, Girls Scouts of America, Churches, NYC  DOE Public school programs, birthday parties, and more! We look forward to our continued expansion both in person and virtual. 

 Seeing a need in our communities for nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide creative activities centered around self-esteem building of young girls. We connect with female leaders to help our girls imagine the possibilities.
